Wooooo アキバ系 ! (Akibakei = an anime/manga nerd)

Wednesday I worked from 10AM to 7AM (21 hours straight). I was in bed by 8AM, slept till 10, back in the office by 11:30.
I had some bugs to fix, but it wasn’t the best time to take such a stretch, because then I went on to work till 13:30 of the next day ! Which makes about 2 days with 2 hours of sleep.
Friday I rested all day, onto Saturday night, when I went out to have some distractions.

A Japanese girl, friend of a friend of mine. Came to my apt for dinner (as my my other friend was already here visiting). As usual, a specific poster that I have hanging in my room, brought out some concern to the eyes of yet another woman. It’s a poster that another friend of mine gave me.. depicting a manga style hand-drawn curvy girl naked and bonded with some rope and clearly aroused. Definitely a geeky thing.
I’m not really into those things, but I found it cool.. I mean, it doesn’t really make such a big impression on me. However, the word is that, I should get rid of it ..unless I want to leave a bad impression on other girls !
I suppose that I should try to look at the poster with female eyes. Women tend to be more impressed about certain things. Oh my gosh ! A man that has a sexy drawing in his bedroom, I bet that he gets horny every time he sees that !
I really don’t see what’s the big deal. In fact, I think that this only comes to show how sexuality is normal for men, but for women it’s taken a lot more like a duty.
People get married and put their passions to sleep… what a great thing that marriage is !

woo

And why do you even care about decorating your walls at all? I think men care a lot less about decorartions than women. A mans apartment usually has empty walls =)

Rince, you’re a man after my own heart! My walls are empty here!

So Kaz, you know that saying which says, “If two Africans agree, it must be true”, right? 8P

To my defense I can say that I’ve realized that walls can be decorated only recently. I guess that I noticed it as people gave me posters.
Also my mother used to attach things to the wall whenever she came to visit me.
My (family’s) house in Rome is filled with “objects”. Lot’s of emotive stuff around ..also emotive for the fact that for my family it’s hard to trash all that stuff which takes a big chunk of the house !

The posters that I have attached, were all given to me.
They tend to take less space on the wall.. but personally I don’t really notice them much.
Once again comes to mind “Equilibium”.. I remember the scene where the protagonist is moving around things on his desk. His sospicious partner notices him and asks: “What are you doing ??”. The protagonist answers something like: “I’m reorganizing my desk. I’m merely trying to optimize the workspace, I have no feelings about it”.

    eheheh

ragin - it is in the smoke and in the bones!!! By the way neither Nigeria or South Africa qualified for the 2006 world cup. And it makes it double shameful for South Africa, because they are hosting it in 2010!!

kaz - even though you might not really care about how your living space is organized, people see it as an extension of your personality!

What kind of product is that?! This is the 21st Century my friend!

You need something more advanced … like a “Personality Projection Beam”. Now that’s ‘hi-tech’!

“Personality Extension” is so “20th Century!” 8P

  7. Davide Pasca says:

That reminds me of the film Code 46. Where one of the protagonists was an investigator that wore a so called “empathy virus” to seduce people into liking him 8)
