Hey Mr. Kaz,

Have you tried drinking 「ヘルシヤ」(healthya)? It's the worst tasting drink on the planet, but it actually seems to be a good supplement to eating properly and excercising. I weigh about 81.8 kg now ... down from a dramatic 102kg back in Jan. of 2003. My goal by the end of this year is to be about 74kg; there is way too much fat on this frame.

Sounds like you might be able to do some image recognition with the image data you collect.

This is probably a major undertaking, but (depending on how much the bandwidth is between aibo and PC) you could have a program that does the image recognition on the PC, learns about the environment, and then feeds back that information to control aibo. Something like making aibo's main brain your PC or something.

Maybe it's time I buy one of these things ... 8P

I stay away from stuff like healthya ! Heathyo ! ..This reminds me that tomorrow I have to go do the health-check. I skipped it a couple of months ago, but now the time has really come. Apparently, I'll have to wake up extra-early. Bha.

Isn't 74Kg a bit too light for you ? I think you are about 1 meter taller than me 8)

As far as image recognition goes.. that's a very complex problem.. especially considering that the dog twistes its head all the time. So, one will have to keep track of the posture all the time to make sense of the images. Ouchh !!

Yeah, 74kg would be a bit light for my height, but I can promise you that there's at least 5kg of unnecessary fat on my body; I really want to get rid of that excess for health reasons. Our line of work doesn't encourage much movement unfortunately. :(

I haven't done the health-check since I arrived in the country. I suppose I should go ... but I never liked hospitals or doctors too much. But "prevention is better than cure" as they say...

What things do they check?

Talk about health check.. today was my second attempt. People in the company were so kind to rechedule a new health check for me. I managed to be late and I therefore didn't even try to goto the clinic. This time around I pretended nothing happened. I just showed up at work on time (health check was earlier).
I think I'll be a kid for life, I can't really do that sort of stuff without someone really spoonfeeding me all the way into it.
