Insert Coint

What ?! Did you think you were going to play ?!
ho ho ho ho ho
Some time ago (a while ago) some main dude form insertcredit.com contacted me. He said that a friend of mine signaled me and he wanted to to an interview.. what ? Must be a job hunter ! Sounds good !
Then I went to the site and realized that was actually a site about reporting news about Japensesish-games. Oppss.. OK let’s do that, I figured. I know I’m not the hottest game babe on the block, what whatever suits the owner of the site.. People that report things are always looking for interesting stuff. I didn’t think I had much to say, but if anything I say gets somehow in the mainstream, it’s good for my parents to see. They really appreciate public display of me. It’s some sort of proof that I’m doing good, etc etc.
So I went on and answered to the first round of questions for the interviews.. then I answered to a second round. There were some technical problems with email addresses.. but we managed to sort them out. Great ! “I think that people will like this !”

Time went by and nothing showed. Nothing, not even my name hidden in the HTML code.
I wasted several hours to answer questions and follow up questions.. editing again and again, checking the grammar and the spelling, trying to make sure I did a good job.
And now, months have past and I see nothing ?

That’s bullshit !!!
I suppose a normal person would say nothing… but I’m a MF !! Anyone that deals with me, must be able to afford public exposure !
I don’t understand why most people dont’ speak out. Most people get a cucumber up their ass and shut up. Fack that !! One should speak out !!
I got robbed ! I got robbed of my facking time !! People make me waste hours of my precious life. They make me write shit to eventually trash it !!

The funny thing is that the person that directed the insertcredit guy to me, is also an editor that in the past made me write articles for his magazine. Articles that he apparently liked but that with some lame excuses never published.

What the fuck is this ? People think I have time to waste ???

RULE NO.1 ABOUT DAVIDE PASCA: TIME IS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING !!!

Don’t you fuck with my time !!!

I don’t know why people think they can get away with it.. wasting hours of my life for nothing.

Well… fack you !!!
Ouch.. did I just say that ? Ops.. I did it.. and now ?? I put myself in trouble.. I spoke my mind ! What’s gonna happen to me ?! Am I going to be banned from some special circle of powerful people ?!

What a joke..

But, as usual, not every illness comes to hurt. Those events taught me that I should be a lot more careful when someone asks me for my time.. promising some cheap-shit moment of fame, I owe that to me and to my family which wants to see me truly successful.. not just published on some shit site or some shit magazine.

“Yeahhh we do what we can” ..yeah, well, I never heard of your site/magazine/whatever..
..get a job !

maoooooooooooooooooo

Unfortunately the world is full of people starting off with a lot of entusiasm only to end up caught in some other interests quickly soon, forgetting what they were doing just minutes (or days) ago. Those who really stand out are the ones who can keep providing their efforts throu good and bad times and don’t just give up at the first slight lack of interest/time or whatever!

There is a fine line between speaking your mind and general whining. As rule you must speak your mind so that those around
you get an idea of what your preferences are. But some people take it too far and continuously whine about the smallest issues.

Somehow I get the idea that in Japan this ’speaking out’ is not very appreciated, especially not at the work place. Hai!!!

I understand what you say. I personally hardly ever actually “finish” something. But that’s because I’m generally satisfied with whatever half-result I get. The problem arises when another person is involved. Worse yet, when someone is involved on a project that is completed, but eventually deemed unworthy.
It’s the people that get excited about making me do things that really piss me off.

Japanese wouldn’t be so kind and accommodating if they would whine as much 8)
That is perhaps excessive in Japan.. but it has to be said that on normal workplaces (game companies are generally not “normal” i think), coworkers eventually go out together, and drink, and drink.. and then they can talk shit without fear or retortion 8)
That’s basically what I do. Only that I drink with friends, not coworkers, and I speak my mind on the Internet, which is definitely a bigger commitment.
My complaints may come out as whining, but it’s worth the risk. I realize that in life I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere if I didn’t constantly complain 8)

you are just so rude..bad words all the time

  5. Pomy says:

You are right. I hate to deal with persons that simply make me waste my time. Work consumes a lot of time and the spare time
    is PRICELESS!!!! :)

    See ya Kaz!

  6. rasty says:

kaz: exactly, I also 99% of the times end up with just half-done projects, but I only involve other people, if necessary, on those I know will be finished. That’s what experience has taught me ;)

  7. duddie says:

Yeah, usual complaints came out of frustration. No more no less. Fuck the small world of things, just focus on your ego, focus on yourself. Fuck them.

As I reached a certain age, I feel what my parents used to tell me: study now that you can because when you are adult, you won’t find the time to learn what you like.
Well that was somewhat true.. only that one ideally needs to study as he lives life.. can’t learn everything before.

    > rasty
Recently Sergio said something about doing some democoding with you !
    eh eh eh !!

When one goes for some sort of interview, the ego is already in play. The underlying idea of becoming somwhat famous.. ..the stupid things that some people do in order to show up on TV.. ! (give pussy away above all 8)
Fame is cool. I mean it’s gay in a sense, but it makes life simpler.

  9. Ragin' Lion says:

I can’t understand why you’re complaining sir. One look at that site, and immediately I realized that it wasn’t worth your time. 8P These “gaming news sites” are dime-a-dozen these days. No sympathy from me.

  10. kupi says:

    I sue your ass… :)

I dunno, I figured “why not ?”, of course now I know why not 8)

    kupi
You’ll see my ass in court !!
